Terms and conditions
Cross & Connect: business club for young professionals during Military Boekelo.
These terms and conditions have been translated into English for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the original Dutch version is legally binding.
1.1 Organisation Cross & Connect, part of Military Boekelo, hereinafter referred to as: “the organisation”.
1.2 Member The natural person who has registered for Cross & Connect membership and whose registration has been confirmed by the organisation.
1.3 Membership The right to take part in Cross & Connect activities, gatherings and events during the agreed membership period.
1.4 Event Any gathering, networking activity, inspiration session, company visit, drinks reception, dinner or other activity organised by Cross & Connect.
1.5 Membership year The period of twelve (12) months from the start date of the membership.
2.1 Cross & Connect is a networking and business club focused on connecting young entrepreneurs, professionals, executives and talents.
2.2 Cross & Connect is primarily aimed at people up to and including 35 years of age.
2.3 The organisation reserves the right to deviate from the age limit in special cases.
3.1 Registration takes place via the website, a sign-up form, or another method designated by the organisation.
3.2 A registration constitutes a request for membership and does not automatically entitle the applicant to admission.
3.3 The organisation reserves the right to decline an application without stating reasons.
3.4 Membership is established once the organisation has confirmed the registration in writing or digitally.
4.1 Membership is personal and may not be transferred without the organisation’s prior written consent.
4.2 Members receive access to the activities and facilities that form part of the chosen membership.
4.3 The organisation reserves the right to change the programme, venues, speakers, activities and facilities where circumstances give cause to do so.
4.4 No rights can be derived from published programmes.
5.1 The membership fee is €330 excluding VAT per person per year, unless otherwise determined and communicated by the organisation.
5.2 All stated amounts are exclusive of VAT, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
5.3 Payment is made prior to the start of the membership.
5.4 The organisation may offer members the option of paying the membership fee in quarterly instalments.
5.5 Payment in instalments is solely a payment arrangement and not a membership that can be cancelled monthly or quarterly.
5.6 The full membership fee for the relevant membership year remains payable, regardless of whether a payment arrangement is used.
5.7 If an instalment is not paid on time, the payment arrangement lapses automatically and the remaining outstanding amount becomes immediately due and payable.
5.8 The organisation is entitled to suspend participation in activities for as long as payment obligations have not been fully met.
6.1 Membership is entered into for a period of one (1) year.
6.2 After the membership year ends, the membership is automatically renewed for a further period of one (1) year each time, unless cancelled in time.
6.3 Cancellation must be made in writing or by e-mail.
6.4 A notice period of at least two (2) months before the end of the current membership year applies to terminate the membership.
6.5 If cancellation is not made in time, the membership is automatically renewed for a new period of one year.
6.6 Early termination of the membership during the membership year is not possible.
6.7 In the event of early termination, or if a member no longer takes part in activities, the full agreed membership fee remains payable.
6.8 No refunds are given on membership fees already paid.
7.1 Members take part in activities entirely at their own risk.
7.2 The organisation reserves the right to set a maximum number of participants per activity.
7.3 If an activity is fully booked, the organisation may operate a waiting list.
7.4 Members are expected to cancel their attendance in good time if they are unable to attend.
8.1 Members treat other members, guests, partners, volunteers and staff with respect.
8.2 Discriminatory, intimidating, aggressive or otherwise inappropriate behaviour is not accepted.
8.3 Cross & Connect is a networking platform in which mutual respect, trust and professionalism are central.
8.4 The organisation may deny a member access to activities or terminate their membership if, in the organisation’s judgement, the member’s conduct is harmful to Cross & Connect, Military Boekelo, or other members.
8.5 In the event of termination on this basis, there is no right to a refund of amounts paid.
9.1 Photos, video recordings and other image and sound recordings may be made during events, gatherings and activities.
9.2 By registering and participating in Cross & Connect, the member grants permission to the organisation, Military Boekelo, and its partners to use image and sound material in which the member is visible or audible.
9.3 This material may be used for:
9.4 No separate consent or compensation is due for the use of this material.
9.5 If a member has serious objections to the recognisable publication of image material, this must be communicated to the organisation in writing prior to the event. The organisation will make an effort to take this into account, without being obliged to guarantee a specific result.
10.1 The organisation processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
10.2 Personal data is used exclusively for:
10.3 Cross & Connect’s privacy statement forms an integral part of these terms and conditions.
11.1 All rights to the name, logos, trademarks, texts, photos, videos and other communication resources of Cross & Connect and Military Boekelo belong to their respective rights holders.
11.2 Use of these without prior written consent is not permitted.
12.1 Force majeure means any circumstance beyond the organisation’s control as a result of which compliance with its obligations cannot reasonably be required.
12.2 This includes, among other things:
12.3 In the event of force majeure, the organisation is entitled to postpone, change or cancel activities without being liable for any compensation.
13.1 Participation in Cross & Connect activities is entirely at the participant’s own risk.
13.2 The organisation is not liable for loss, theft or damage to members’ property.
13.3 The organisation is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost revenue, lost profit or reputational damage.
13.4 Any liability of the organisation is limited to at most the membership fee paid by the relevant member for the current membership year.
13.5 Members are liable for damage caused by their actions or omissions.
14.1 The organisation reserves the right to decline a membership application.
14.2 The organisation may terminate a membership with immediate effect if:

15.1 Dutch law exclusively applies to all agreements between Cross & Connect and its members.
15.2 Disputes arising from or related to the membership are submitted to the competent court.
